Miraflores mayor Manuel Masías has told press that municipal security (blue-uniformed Serenazgo) agents have been informed of the kidnap of a female Argentine tourist, who seems to have been abducted on the Los Delfines beach on the Costa Verde, where she was en route from Lima’s Jorge Chávez airport shortly after arriving in the country.
According to the Mayor, the taxi driver who was transporting the tourist to Chorillos told authorities that he was intercepted on the coast highway by a gang of unknown men, who took his passenger to an unknown location. Police are currently searching the area in search of leads, so far without success.
