Lima stock indices down

The Lima Stock Exchange closed slightly down on Friday after rising for three consecutive sessions, due mainly to a drop in the prices of zinc and copper on the international market and as traders sold in other sectors such as agriculture and electricity, said brokers.

According to the latest data, the general index of the Lima exchange (IGRA) fell 0.44%, leading to a close (unofficially) at 15,690.49 points. The selective index (ISEL), made up of a group of 15 leading stocks, dropped 0.27% to 26,487.61 points.

The quotation for mining stocks dropped an average of 0.38%, agriculture dropped 1.63% and electricity 0.55%.

Total trading of stocks amounted to around 65 million soles.
