Drunk driver causes mayhem in San Isidro

A car crashed through the wall of a house after hitting a taxi at the intersection of calle Manuel Tellería and Av. Juan de Arona in San Isidro. The driver, who is thought to have been drunk, abandoned his car and fled on foot.

According to witnesses, the accident occurred at around 2am yesterday, when a taxi taking passengers to Av. Arequipa was hit by a blue car, license plate KI-5566. The car then veered out of control and hit the outside of a house located at number 306, calle Tellería.

Despite finding the front of his car inside the house, the driver reversed and fled, abandoning his vehicle a few blocks away at the intersection of Av. Florida with Av. Petit Thouars.
